2025 THEME: Renew. Rebuild. Reshape – Empowering Lives, Transforming Futures
OUR JOURNEY
Since 2009, LEAD Institute has been at the forefront of transformative initiatives for pre- and post-correctional facility inmates and at-risk juveniles. Our innovative approach has led modernization efforts within the Bahamas Correctional Services, incorporating global best practices such as Non-Violent Conflict Resolution, At-Risk Intervention, and Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment System Design.
IMPACTFUL SERVCES
LEAD Institute offers a comprehensive suite of services designed to address the root causes of criminal behavior and equip individuals with the tools needed to lead productive lives. Our interventions, which range from life skills workshops and vocational training to mental health counseling and addiction recovery programs, are evidence-based and community-focused. We also provide parenting workshops, family support services, and mentorship programs, ensuring a holistic approach to rehabilitation and prevention.
THE CHALLENGE
The Bahamas faces escalating challenges, including rising recidivism rates, youth delinquency, and substance abuse issues. Systemic barriers such as limited access to rehabilitation services, community reintegration challenges, and stigmatization hinder progress. At LEAD Institute, we recognize that addressing these issues requires a multi-pronged strategy rooted in education,
advocacy, and sustainable solutions to create meaningful change and reduce crime.
